28 MAY 2018 – 03 JUNE 2018
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE: 1 CORINTHIANS 3:6-9
Greeting family; we have once more witnessed the greatness and goodness of God this weekend right here in Alleluia Ministries. I want to assure you today that God is faithful. Often the difference between two people reacting differently to a situation is the revelation they have on the faithfulness of God. In the time of storms, when all hell is breaking lose, those who know Him as a faithful God will remain calm. But those who do not know Him as a faithful God will try to jump off the boat. But if you know that His word is faithful and will not return to Him void, you will know that even what you are going through now will pass.
I am speaking to somebody who is going through winds and waves. God is faithful; what proceeds out of His mouth will come to pass. He is God enough to keep His word. You can build your life on the trust you have on Him. He will show you His grace and His goodness. God is alive and He is good.
The man of God said, according to the scripture above, we are coworkers with God though we have our shortfalls and limitations. A coworker is a person with whom you are working. We are working with God. Often we have heard about the roles of God. We have painted God as the only one who leads everything, but we fail to present the part of men. But as God is working He is not working alone. If only God does His part and man does not do his part, the desired outcome will not be seen. For the desired outcome to be seen there must be harmony between the God and man.
The preachers of yesterday thought that it would give us big heads if we begin to think that we are working with God. So it was presented to us that only God is working and we are just like little robots. But unless you understand that you are a coworker with God, many things that you are supposed to see on earth, you will not see. If team members in a soccer team will play together they will enjoy the same victory. When a striker scores, everyone in his team will celebrate because they are working together. Every pilot has a co-pilot with whom he or she will get the airplane to the destination.
If we tell ourselves that God does everything and we do not have to do anything, we will become lazy. We will conclude that if good or bad happens, it is God who wanted it that way. Though it is true that God is doing the better part, it is also true that man has a responsibility. No church grows only because of God. If it was so, every ministry would be successful. There are requirements that you have to put on yourself. The reason why one day we will stand before God and He will give us rewards is because we have done certain things.
A business man, who is lazy, though the anointing may be upon him, will go nowhere. A person who is irresponsible, no matter how you prophesy on him, he will go no where. God has given us authority and power over the enemy but you can still fall prey to him. The reason for that is, though God has given you a gun, He will not pull the trigger for you. The pulling of the trigger is your responsibility. You must understand that God will do His part and you must do your part. Unless you do what you have to do, nothing will happen. If as a student you come for prayer before exams, but you have not studied, you may fail very badly. No amount of speaking in tongues will help you. The reason why God gives us the anointing is because we are co-workers with Him. There are certain things that God has given you to do. For those things God has given you, you have the power to do them.
If you sit down and do nothing you are wasting the anointing. The woman with issue of blood said, “If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.” –Matthew 9:21. If she had remained sitting and allowed that opportunity to pass she would have died. You must understand that there is something God expects you to do. You are a co-worker with God.
