04 JUNE 2018 – 10 JUNE 2018
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE: Exodus 17:8-13
Greetings family; we had a great service with our branches streaming live from various locations, this Sunday. Pastor led on an awesome time of worship, lifting up the name of Jesus. He encouraged us to express our faith through words. Nomatter what you go through you must always say, I will come out of this in the name of Jesus. From the time of John the Baptist till today, the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent will take it by force. Take your blessing and your breakthrough by force. Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
From the above scripture pastor Alph shared with us on the ministry of two men; the support ministry that made the ministry of Moses effective. This is the ministry of Aaron and Hur. God used Moses to deliver Israel from the captivity of Pharaoh, a wicked king, whose power was founded on demonic forces. Moses was built and trained by God right in the camp of the enemy. As he grew to maturity and was ready for his assignment God deployed him. He sent him to go and face pharaoh whom he had run away from before. There might be things that scared you to death before but once you are strong in God and well equipped, God will send you back to confront them.
Moses went back to Egypt, not with his own word, but with the word of the Lord. He stood before Pharaoh and said, “Thus says the Lord, let my people go.” Family, you must not fight the devil with your ideas and opinions. Fight him with the sword of the Word. It was the word from God that Moses used against Pharaoh. Freedom does not come through philosophy, but through the power of the word of God demonstrated, as the word of God is announced. As Moses, the servant of God led Israel out of slavery, so are you coming out of oppression and slavery. God is setting you and your family free in the name of Jesus.
Over 3 million men were led out of Egypt by Moses. The hand of God was so strong that their enemies were afraid of them. But later it so happened that the Amalekite decided to wage war against Israel. The multitude of Israel was made of people who had never fought a battle. They were not experienced when it comes to fighting battles. Every child of God must know that there will be battles. God promised us victory because he knew that the enemy will wage war against us. What you are going through is a set up for glory.
Have you ever been confronted by things that seem stronger than you? Have you ever been in a place where satan is saying, I got you in a place where I wanted you to be? What do you do when you feel you have no way out? You must look to God, the author and the finisher of our faith. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Those who look to Him are radiant and their faces will never be covered with shame.
When the devil wages war against you, there is a way you must attack. Moses called Joshua and strategized with him on how they would approach the battle. Their strategy was revolving around God. Their strategy was, Joshua would go to the battle field and Moses would remain on the mountain top with his hands lifted. As long as the hands of Moses were lifted Joshua and Israel had victory in the battle. But when Moses became weary and his hands came down, Israel was defeated. Their victory in the battle depended on the hands of Moses being lifted, and not on whoever was waving the sword on the battle field. Behind their victory was the power of God.
In order for Israel to win, Aaron and Hur played an important role. As Moses grew weary they gave him a stone to sit on and they lifted both his hands. They did not go there and try to lift up their own hands, because victory could only come when the hands of the set man were lifted. They used their strength to support Moses, the set man. They did not try to replace him but they strengthened him. Family we must pray for our Moses, Prophet Alph Lukau. We must take time and pray for him, that God may preserve and strengthen him, as he remains on the mountain top, for our sake. As his covenant sons and daughters, we must be pillars of strength to him.
There are four things we learn about Aaron and Hur:
1.They were linked to Moses in covenant.
2.They had the physical capacity (strength) to lift up the hands of Moses.
3.They were part of Israel; so they wanted Israel to win. The victory of Israel was the burden of their hearts. They saw the bigger picture. It was not just about them but about the victory of the whole nation.
4.They were ready to pay the price. They didn’t know how long it would take, but they were ready to sacrifice.
1. We would like to encourage all the sons and daughters of Pastor Alph Lukau to be part of the upcoming VIP (Gifts Transfering Gathering) on 6 May 2018, and pay as soon as possible. Please invite friends, family, churches, etc. This is not only for the Pastors, but for everyone who desires the gifts of God. All of us will prophesy in Jesus Name.
