27 AUGUST 2018 – 02 SEPTEMBER 2018
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE: LUKE 19:28
Good day beloved; we had a wonderful time in the presence of God last Sunday. As usual, many miracles took place, many who were bound on wheel chairs were able to walk again. The Man of God gave accurate prophesies which were confirmed by the people he gave the word. We thank God for the life of our Man of God (Pastor Alph Lukau), may the Lord bless our father in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Jesus getting ready to enter into Jerusalem sent two of His disciples to a nearby village, with a clearly defined assignment. This signifies that God will never send and deploy you on the field without a clearly defined mission. Knowing what God expects from you is not His responsibility but yours. Many of us today do not know why we are here, and because of that we touch where we are not supposed to touch. Even in the body of Christ many do not know why they have been established. Knowing your mission will translate to you being able to know the purpose of your existence. You must know why God deployed you on earth. You are not called for everything.
Nothing in life and nothing in God just happens. There is always an invisible hand of God that orchestrates things that we see in the natural through circumstances and situations. Jesus Christ sent two of His disciples not to go and sing or dance, but to untie the colt and bring it to Him for an assignment. After you have understood the mission divinely given to you by God, do your best to stick to it. Remain focused on the purpose and do not be distracted by what you are not supposed to focus on. When you come to the house of the Lord you must not be distracted because someone did not greet you. You must know which battles are yours and which ones have nothing to do with you.
The assignment that Jesus gave to His disciples in the scripture is the same assignment that He has given to many of us in the field. If you are in God you must know that you will always be moving, to fulfil the assignment. The Holy Spirit brings a Holy go. God is looking to men and women that will say yes to His will. He is looking for people who are willing to be used by Him as instruments. You begin to collect value when you are adding value. You must be willing to say “enough about me” and extend your hand to help someone else. Stand with someone and call on Jesus for them. Choose to be a child of God on a mission. We have to bring to the world the light of God. We have to tell men and women everywhere, that where men have failed you Jehovah will not fail you. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Just as the colt in the scripture above was tied and bound in one place, so are many bound in one place. Bondage is there to control and bring a person to submission. Many people that we see looking good on the outside, are bound on the inside. When you are bound you are not free to progress. When you are bound, you remain in the same place, year after year. Just as Jesus had sent these two disciples, so has He sent many of us to go and set free those who are bound. We are to help them to encounter Jesus. The word says you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free. This does not just mean that you will be informed of the truth. It means you shall experience the truth. The truth is Jesus and when people who are bound have an encounter with Him they are set free.
Those who are equipped and sent by God are the greatest disturbance to satan. Jesus equipped His two disciples for resistance. He told them what to say to whoever will question them. He knew that someone will question their assignment. Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’” When satan comes against you in your assignment, to resist you, don’t retreat, but stand bold.
