HOMECELL TEACHING GUIDE – WEEK 48 OF 52
26 NOV – 3 DEC 2017
SCRIPTURE REFERENCE: MARK 7:31
Family, I greet you in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We had the power packed weekend that started with anointing service followed by impartation night on Friday, and Sunday was another glorious day where the God of our father (Pst Alph Lukau) displayed his power by healing and setting the captives free. One of the miracles that took place on Sunday is regarding the brother who was bound on wheelchair for eleven months. The spirit of God led our Man of God to this brother and as he (Pst Alph Lukau) prayed for him, the chains were broken and he was able to walk again. We give God all the glory!!!
Regarding the above scripture, the Man of God said miracles are daily bread for the children of God. You should not struggle to receive the miracles because they are part and parcel of the life of every child of God.
Ephphatha is a Greek word meaning “open up.” Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. It is important to understand that the bible is a spiritual book and God inspired every word written in the bible, to guide and correct us, etc. Whatever happened in the bible is true, and it is true that it will happen again. Jesus’ mission was to do the will of his father (to glorify his father). You can serve God and later turn away not aware that you are serving yourself. The prayer that every child of God should pray is “Lord, keep me faithful”. It is good to start a thing, but the end is more important. We were all the nobodies, but through God, we are somebodies.
Regarding the scripture above, this man did not have ability to neither hear nor speak. Please note that the speaking ability of a man has a direct link to his ability to hear. The output of your life comes from the input, and what you hear informs, elevates, strengthens and gives you words. He was taken to Jesus to lay hands on him so that he could get healed. Question – “when you have a problem, who do you go to? If you go to Pastor to meet Pastor, you will miss it, but if you go to meet Jesus, you will win. They believed in miracles (miracle is nothing but God’s intervention). A child of God who does not believe in miracles is a disgrace in the kingdom of God. Miracles are the power of God. When you remove the power of God from the bible, it becomes a novel. Often many people come to God with their expectation. What you should know is that God cannot be boxed in a programme or routine. He is a multi-system God, and he is bigger than man or your philosophy. Nobody can claim that he masters God. The illiterate of our time today is not those who do not know how to read or write. But it is those who know how to learn, unlearn and relearn. You must have an open heart and open mind. The ways of God are not our ways.
Jesus took this man aside to a private place and prayed for him(there are miracles that will only happen in private). Jesus spate and touched this man’s tongue with his saliva, he also placed his fingers on the ears of this man, and then he looked to heaven and said, “Ephphatha.” Certain words are forbidden to be translated, such as ephphatha, Talitha Cumi, etc. Ephphatha is not a word like other words, there is power in this word. Open up is not a suggestion, but it is a command. There are times when you use authority to get what you want. Jesus was addressing the matter. When Jesus said Ephphatha, the man’s eyes and ears opened up. Declaration: “to every door the enemy has locked in your life, EPHPHATHA!!!” You have been in that situation for too long, EPHPHATHA!!!”
We are closing our homecells on the 13 December, and the office will communicate with the AMI12 Leaders regarding the official homecells opening date in 2018.
